The Helen Foster Snow Story

The new ten-part event will combine dramatic narrative

storytelling with documentary footage as well as interviews with

American and Chinese eyewitnesses to the history and events of Gung Ho and the birth of Modern China.

Gung Ho will provide an epic portrait of Helen Foster Snow, a

young woman from Cedar City, Utah, and how her pioneer

heritage prepared her for the challenges of leading

humanitarian efforts during revolution, the destitution

of war, and the Japanese occupation during World War II.

Based upon Helen’s writings viewers will experience a most

harrowing, yet heroic time in history when through grit, commitment, and shared sacrifice, Helen was the right woman at the right time to become a midwife for the birth of a new China and a heroine to the people.
